MISSION

-TNER supports you with Corporate Sound Design, Online/Offline Communication and classic Advertising. You tell us what you need, and we develop strategies to reach your goals.

WORK

Is music necessary from a corporate point of view? Corporate sound design defines belonging and gives an acoustic identity. It is not simply music, but supports and reinforces the message and value of a brand in sound waves. And functions as an acoustic anchor throughout. That’s why Corporate Sound Design is important.

You get an acoustic toolbox for all possible uses. The best-known version is the jingle, a short and recognisable melody. This can be prepared in different lengths and moods (original, reduced, focus on rhythm, faster, slower, etc.). From these versions, so-called music beds are created, which can be used as acoustic backgrounds for longer video sequences (i.e. image movies, backing tracks for podcasts).

Corporate Sound Design
Audio branding for acoustic identity and emotional recognition.

It has never been so easy for us to communicate with each other. We are more decentralised and mobile than before because we are always accessible everywhere. At the same time, we are constantly looking for time. For our tasks, our wishes and for ourselves. This means that whoever communicates with you should quickly get to the point. Right?

At the same time, we unlearn. We can no longer listen because we are so conscious of sending, we can only send. We miss the right tone. We use industry-specific jargon to appear competent. And when we have bad news, we prefer to leave it to others. Communicating does not mean selling something, but formulating values in an understandable way and building trust. With -TNER, this means: If we don’t see the point, we don’t do it. But if we do it, we do it right and with conviction.

At some point, someone came up with the idea of combining marketing and communication to form the position MarCom. From our point of view, this is a nice but shortsighted attempt to save money. In terms of content, however, the calculation rarely works out. Because marketing needs the right communication; communication in turn needs the strategic content.

However, marketing, communication and design are independent areas of competence. If all departments have done their homework, they can flow together in a targeted manner. Therefore, it is important to understand a brand or an idea as a whole and to recognise its opportunities. This requires listening properly, analysing critically and identifying the individual goals and challenges. This is the basis for a successful marketing strategy, planning and implementation. Finally, the intelligent mix of different marketing tools makes it possible to communicate properly with the defined target groups.

CI/CD
The seamless combination of corporate identity and corporate design.

Mix
Strategic building blocks, smartly put together for the different channels.

Online
SMART in principle for SEM, SEO, SEA, newsletter, email marketing and banners.

Social Media
Take place in an exciting and informative way where your target group is located.

Have you ever tried to put yourself together as an avatar? Clothes are easy. But what about hair, nose, eyes, mouth, face and body shape? At best, the result was kind of funny, but not really «the best version of yourself». And this is the task our design department takes on: to do justice to you and your brand.

Don’t ask what your graphic designer can do for you but what you can do for your graphic designer. In order to know what colours, shapes and images we work with, we need to get to know you and understand your attitude, goals and message. Only then can we develop your idea into a vision that works successfully on all levels. Because that’s what we want: to be successful together with you. After all, nobody likes to lose. So we combine content, strategic marketing and visual language into a unity where all elements reinforce each other. From the logo to the website.

Signing the «Paris Agreement» in 2015, Switzerland committed to halving its greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared to 1990 levels. In 2019, the Federal Council also decided that Switzerland should stop emitting greenhouse gases by 2050. This climate strategy leads to a future without fossil energies. In addition, large public limited companies, banks and insurance companies are already obliged from 01 January 2024 to report on their climate risks and their own impact in accordance with the standards of the international Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD). The fight against climate change will thus become bindingly measurable; due to globally binding agreements, there will also be no Swiss solo effort.

When a company tackles issues such as sustainability, CO2 neutrality, environmental protection and corporate social responsibility in order to implement them within the framework of legal requirements or beyond, this is not subject to a democratic process within the company. Rather, these are strategic decisions that are enforced from the top management to the lowest levels of employees. This decision means a massive intervention in the existing corporate culture.

This defines values that have to be communicated to all employees in a continuous process. Sharing them together goes far beyond the employment relationship as we know it. In order to communicate them in a binding and understandable way, binding principles must be developed within the management and in the various departments. Only when these new values are understood and continuously implemented by all those involved in the company can defined goals be achieved and new ones formulated.

We are proud to have already supported several companies in these areas and will continue to expand our commitment and services.

Internal Communication
Employees are continuously trained and informed in an understandable way in order to understand the values of sustainability.

External Communication
Credible communication in order to credibly convey one’s own values and successes to the population, media, stakeholders and authorities.

After graduating from the Ringier School of Journalism and 13 years in radio and television (including presenting for «Vitamin3»/DRS3 and «Schweiz aktuell»/SF1), the Basel native reoriented himself and has since worked as a lyricist/conceptualiser, speaker and, under the stage name BAUM, as a musician and producer. His single «Home One Day» accompanied the Möbel Pfister campaign and was part of the soundtrack of the German cinema comedy «Verrückt nach Fixi» (Constantin Film). The US documentary series «Take a Seat: Egypt» (Universal Sports TV) used six of his tracks. In addition, further of his songs were used in projects for Aargauische Kantonalbank, Industrielle Werke Basel, Montana Sport Schweiz and the new Athletes Network podcast.

Franziska Falco

Project Management, Branding, Marketing

Her path led her to us via Roche, LAUFEN Schweiz AG and Industrielle Werke Basel IWB. Thanks to her multi-year of experience as an executive assistant, she ensures that our projects run smoothly. As a business administrator, she brings her interlinked thinking with a focus on Digital Business and AI Management and her creative understanding of branding and marketing strategies.

Fabio Sparvieri

Graphics, Web Design, Branding

Anyone who speaks Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French and English as well as German could easily become UN Secretary-General. But Fabio graduated from the design class at SFG Basel and worked as a graphic designer for various Basel advertising agencies (scanu communication, Atelier Mühlberg, Womm, Imago Werbung and Stadtluft) from 2002. He has worked with clients such as Beiersdorf (NIVEA), Haecky Fine Food (Tabasco and Del Monte), Doetsch Grether (Fenjal), Baloise, Erziehungsdepartement Basel-Stadt and Aids Hilfe Basel, and brings his knowledge and creativity to bear in the areas of branding, print, illustration, packaging, motion graphic, image editing and web design/programming.

Silvia Wolff

Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Illustrations

She has her strengths in the areas of editorial design, book design/publications, typography, illustration, corporate design, strong interest in motion design and animation, is educated (BA at the FH Dessau [focus on graphic design] and MA [Masterstudio Design] at the HGK FHNW Basel [focus on graphic design and scenography]), and experienced (Vécsey Schmidt Architekten Basel [graphic, PR, admin], Stadtluft Basel [graphic design], Lisan Verlag Basel [editorial design, illustrations], Very Frankfurt [editorial design], and Echtpraktisch Zürich [information design, illustrations]). Eduardo Elia

Portraits, Architecture/Event/Product Photography, Drone Shots

Our in-house photographer Eduardo is Sicilian. Why is that important? Because he always combines his shoots with a large portion of amore. When he photographs people, he gets to know them first. Only then does he press the shutter release and immortalize that one moment that will never happen again. Find out more about him here.
